Marquette Defeats Seton Hall, 4-2

Eggink clinches the match victory, the Golden Eagles second straight win
MILWAUKEE-- Returning home has been kind to the Marquette women's tennis team as the Golden Eagles won their second straight match on Sunday morning in a 4-2 decision over BIG EAST foe Seton Hall.
Once again Marquette (11-9) set the tone early claiming the doubles point as the tandems of Fleur Eggink and Natalija Popovic at No. 1 and Elisabeth Desmarais and Isabella Franks each won with a 6-3 victory.
Seton Hall was able to even the match in singles and won at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles, but Desmarais took care of the No. 4 court with a pair of 6-1 decisions. Franks completed her perfect day with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the No. 6 position and Eggink battled back after falling in the first set to clinch the match with a 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 win in the No. 1 spot.
The Golden Eagles have one final regular season match remaining and will travel to Georgetown on Saturday, April 13 with first serve slated for noon CT from Washington, D.C.
