Newcomers arrive on campus this fall
The Marquette University men's tennis team has announced the addition of three players for the 2019-20 campaign.
Nathan Balthazor (Green Bay, Wis./De Pere HS), Stefan Dragovic (Podgorica, Montenegro/Srednja Turisticka Skola) and Will Tennison (Verona, Wis./Verona Area HS) will all arrive on campus this fall as freshmen.
"We are really looking forward to having Nathan, Stefan and Will on campus," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "Each player brings a unique skill set to the team and will have the opportunity to contribute to our already established veteran group of returnees."
Balthazor was a three-year letterwinner at De Pere High School and a member of the sectional championship team as a freshman. He finished with a career singles record of 79-10 and advanced to the round of 64 at the USTA national event in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Dragovic was a member of Montenegro's Davis Cup roster in 2018 and picked up a doubles victory in international competition. He trains at the Tipsarevic Tennis Academy and attended Srednja Turisticka Skola.
Tennison was a four-year letterwinner and three-year captain at Verona Area High School. He was a member of the state championship team in 2018 and was undefeated in singles play (23-0) during the regular season in 2019. Tennison was the overall No. 1 seed his final two years in the state tournament and also helped the Wildcats to a pair of conference and sectional titles.
