The Golden Eagles will be led by first-year head coach Andrew Stimmel
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's lacrosse team has announced the addition of 15 freshmen for the 2019-20 academic year, including six players who arrived on campus in July.
"We are excited to officially announce the 15 newest Golden Eagles," first-year head coach Andrew Stimmel said. "We are looking forward to watching these young men develop into leaders in all walks of life in addition to on the field and in the classroom. As they begin their journey together this fall, we hope they fully immerse themselves in what it means to 'Be The Difference' as Marquette student-athletes."
The group includes individuals from 11 different U.S. states and features three players New York and a pair each from New Jersey, Michigan and Colorado.
In total, the class includes five long pole players, one goalie and nine midfielders/attackmen.
The Golden Eagles must replace six of 10 starters from a 2019 squad that went 6-8, including four All-BIG EAST performers.
