Marquette Lacrosse picked fifth in BIG EAST

The Golden Eagles are in their first season under new head coach Andrew Stimmel
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's lacrosse team was picked fifth in the annual preseason survey of the BIG EAST Conference head coaches heading into the 2020 campaign.
Golden Eagles went 6-8 overall in 2019 and missed the league tournament for the first time since joining the conference in 2014. They begin their 2020 regular season under first-year head coach Andrew Stimmel on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Cleveland State.
Denver (24 points) was once again unanimously chosen as the preseason league favorites, while Villanova received two first-place votes and was just two points behind Denver. The reigning league tournament champion Georgetown Hoyas are third with 17 points, while Providence is fourth with 13.
