The Marquette University men's basketball team (15-6, 5-4 BIG EAST) returns to Fiserv Forum on Saturday, Feb. 1 to host DePaul (13-8, 1-7 BIG EAST) at 1 p.m. CT in BIG EAST action.  FS Wisconsin features the television broadcast, with Chris Vosters (play-by-play) and Tim Miles (analyst) calling the action.  Saturday's matchup marks a run of 3-of-4 league outings at home for the Golden Eagles, who will enjoy their first bye of the conference slate prior to hosting Butler on Feb. 9 for National Marquette Day.
Series With DePaul Dates Back To 1917-18
  Â
Marquette's all-time series with DePaul dates back to the 1917-18 season (second year of MU's varsity competition) and includes 125 previous meetings.
  Â
The Golden Eagles own a 78-47 advantage in the series and have claimed 14 of the last 17 matchups overall. Â The extensive series history has been aided by the fact the two programs have been in the same league dating back to the 1991-92 campaign. Â Since that season, the teams have shared affiliation in the Great Midwest Conference, Conference USA and BIG EAST Conference.
  Â
In program history, Marquette has faced only rival Wisconsin (126) on more occasions. Â
Crowder, Hayward Earn HOF StatusÂ
  Â
Former Marquette standouts Jae Crowder (2010-12) and Lazar Hayward (2006-10) are part of the new six-member 2020 M Club Hall of Fame class.
  Â
Crowder, a current member of the Memphis Grizzlies, was the BIG EAST Player of the Year and All-America selection in 2011-12 and one of just seven players in program history to score 1,000 points in just two seasons.
  Â
Hayward is the only player in Marquette history with over 1,800 points and 900 rebounds and ranks third all-time in scoring with 1,859 points. Â He is also the program leader in career games played (138).
  Â
Marquette's 1970 National Invitation Tournament title team is celebrating its 50th anniversary and will also be recognized at the game.
Anim Picks Up Scoring ContributionÂ
  Â
Senior forward Sacar Anim has scored 20-or-more points in each of the team's previous three games, highlighted by a career-night in the double-overtime win at Xavier Wednesday night.
  Â
The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native finished with a personal-best 28 points, including clutch baskets in the second overtime (11 total points), finishing 8-of-14 from the floor overall and 5-of-9 from behind the 3-point line. Â He also chipped in five rebounds, four steals and drew six fouls in his team-high 48 minutes of action.
  Â
Over the course of the last three outings, Anim is contributing 23.7 points per game while shooting 13-of-27 (48.1 percent) from deep and 48.9 percent (22-of-45) from the floor overall. Â In 107 career games, Anim has netted 20-or-more points six times, with half of those coming in the team's most-recent outings.
  Â
Anim's previous career-high total of 26 points came at Creighton on Feb. 17, 2018. Â He is currently ranked 15th in the BIG EAST in scoring at 13.7 points per game.
McEwen Shoulders Scoring, Leads MU To WinÂ
  Â
Entering the start of the second half at Xavier, junior guard Koby McEwen hadn't scored after missing his first four field goal attempts. Â He more than made up for the lack of production, however, putting the team on his back late in regulation and overtime.
  Â
The Toronto, Ontario, native didn't hit his first field goal until the final minutes of the second half, but thanks to his ability to get to the line, he put together a personal eight-to-nothing run to give MU a 61-58 lead with nine seconds left.
  Â
McEwen continued to carry the offensive load in the first extra session, netting all of Marquette's seven points during that time and sealed his scoring with a late free throw in the final moments of the game. Â He finished the game with 18 points and five rebounds and was 9-of-11 from the charity stripe.
  Â
In the last three games, McEwen is contributing 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, including his first career double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds at Butler).
Howard Joins Elite NCAA CompanyÂ
  Â
Senior guard Markus Howard became the 72nd player in NCAA history to reach the 2,500 point mark for a career with his eighth point in the win at Xavier on Wednesday.
  Â
The Chandler, Arizona, native is currently in possession of 2,510 points to rank 68th all-time and he is rapidly approaching his brother Jordan's total of 2,524 points (Central Arkansas, 2015-18).
  Â
The all-time leading scorer in NCAA history is LSU's Pete Maravich, who netted an amazing 3,667 points in just three years and without the 3-point line.
Cain Quietly Making Important ImpactÂ
  Â
Junior forward Jamal Cain has been a valuable member of the bench corps all season long and that role has increased with the injury to Greg Elliott on Jan. 7.
  Â
The Pontiac, Michigan, native grabbed nine rebounds in the win at Xavier and hit two clutch free throws in overtime to help secure the 84-82 victory. Â In the last three games, Cain is contributing 6.0 rebounds per game and has made 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) of his field goals.
