Marquette Basketball: No Fans At Home Games In 2020
11/5/2020 12:05:00 PM | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
Department will continue to monitor as season progresses
Marquette Athletics has announced that through at least the end of 2020, no spectators will be allowed at men's and women's basketball home games due to safety and health concerns as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Â
Season ticket members for both programs will receive further information from the ticket office on donation and refund options. The department will continue to evaluate spectator options as the season progresses and if ticket opportunities become available, they will be sold on a single-game basis.Â
Â
"Unfortunately, given the current conditions relative to the pandemic, and after evaluating various scenarios, we have reached the conclusion that we will not be able to accommodate season tickets for the 2020-21 men's and women's basketball seasons," Vice President and Director of Athletics Bill Scholl said.Â
Â
"Further, it is unlikely we will be able to host fans at games for the remainder of this calendar year. We will continue to evaluate our options and be in touch with any individual game ticket opportunities in the new year if circumstances allow," Scholl added.
Â
