Selena Lott Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

The senior averaged 22 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists this week
NEW YORK - Marquette University senior guard Selena Lott has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Lott was lights-out for the Golden Eagles last week, averaging 22.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 75-percent shooting as Marquette went 2-0 on the road against Cincinnati and Belmont.
The senior guard began the week with 26 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in Thursday's win at Cincinnati, draining 11-of-14 (.786) of her attempts from the field.
She followed that showing with an 18-point, 14-rebound, five-assist outing in Sunday's win at Belmont, making 4-of-6 attempts from the field, including 3-of-5 from deep. The 14 rebounds were a career high and the second-highest total by a BIG EAST player this season.

This is her seventh career weekly honor from the BIG EAST, including her second career player of the week honor.

So far in 2020-21, Lott leads the team in scoring (17.2) and assists (4.4).
