Davenport holds multiple rebounding records at MU
The Marquette Athletics Alumni Spotlight is presented by Sargento Cheese, headquartered in Plymouth, Wisconsin. For more information on careers at Sargento, visit careers.sargento.com.
Marquette women's basketball players have scattered across the country since graduating college. Our Alumni Spotlight feature will allow us to provide personal and professional updates on the student-athletes who represented the University on the court and continue to be ambassadors today.
This week's Alumni Spotlight is on Erika Davenport '19. She played in 123 career games and averaged 12.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game over her four year career at MU. One of the most prolific players in program history, Davenport ranks in the top-15 in the school record books in multiple career, season and single-game categories. For her career, she scored 1,494 points (No. 13 all-time) and became the fourth player in school history to bring down 1,000 rebounds (1,041). She also holds the school record for highest career field goal percentage (min. 400 attempts), hitting 644 of 1,131 shots (56.9%).
Davenport graduated from MU in 2019 and has been playing professional basketball overseas for the past two seasons. During her time at MU, she helped the Golden Eagles to two BIG EAST regular season titles, a BIG EAST tournament title and three NCAA tournament appearances.
