FS1 features television broadcast
The Marquette University men's basketball team (17-9, 7-7 BIG EAST) returns to Fiserv Forum to open a two-game homestand on Wednesday, Feb. 26 when the team hosts Georgetown (15-12, 5-9 BIG EAST).  FS1 will feature the national television broadcast, with Brandon Gaudin (play-by-play) and Donny Marshall (analyst) calling the action.  Following Wednesday's outing, the Golden Eagles will wrap up the home portion of the regular season on Feb. 29 against No. 13/13 Seton Hall.  Marquette's three-member senior class of Sacar Anim, Markus Howard and Jayce Johnson will be recognized during a pregame ceremony.
Narrow Margin Separates All-Time Series
  Â
Marquette owns a slim 15-13 advantage in the all-time series, with each team winning on the road in the home-and-home series in 2018-19. Â
  Â
All but two of the matchups have come since Marquette joined the BIG EAST in 2005-06.
  Â
The programs first met during the 1941-42 campaign and the Hoyas were able to claim a 35-34 victory. Â The next meeting didn't come until the 1971-72 season and Marquette posted a winning 88-44 decision. Â The series resumed in 2005-06 and the squads have met on 24 occasions since that year.Â
Regular Season Enters Final Two WeeksÂ
  Â
The Golden Eagles have four games remaining in the regular season, with two this week at Fiserv Forum prior to a pair of road contests in advance of the BIG EAST Tournament March 11-14.
  Â
Marquette claimed the first meeting against three of the programs, defeating Georgetown on the road and both DePaul and St. John's at home. Â MU is looking to move up the crowded middle of the BIG EAST standings to avoid playing in the first round of the league tourney on March 11.
  Â
MU enters the week in fifth place in the 10-team conference, with the ability to finish as high as third and as low as ninth.
