Marquette Travels to Seton Hall Friday Night

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT on FS2
MILWAUKEE — Looking to continue a five-game winning streak, the Marquette women's basketball team heads east this weekend for a pair of games beginning at Seton Hall on Friday, February 7 at 6 p.m. CT.
The game will air nationally on FS2 with Matt Schumacker and Kim Adams handling the call from Walsh Gymnasium.
The Golden Eagles (17-5, 8-3) overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat Creighton, 52-50 last Sunday. This was largely in part to a 19-4 third quarter where MU held the Bluejays to just 2-14 shooting. Selena Lott, Jordan King and Lauren Van Kleunen all registered in double figures while Isabelle Spingola recorded a game-high nine rebounds. With 20 seconds left Van Kluenen nailed a go-ahead hook shot from with 0.7 seconds remaining, which proved to be the game-winner.
Lott continues to lead the Golden Eagles with 15.5 points per game, which is ninth in the BIG EAST, while Van Kleunen (19th), Spingola (20th) and Camryn Taylor (28th) also rank in the top-30. Altia Anderson has been a force on the glass this season and is pulling down 6.5 boards per night, which ranks 12th in the conference as Van Kleunen joins her in the top-20.

SETON HALL (14-8, 7-4): The Pirates are looking to improve after a 2-0 weekend of their own, defeating both Georgetown and Villanova. In the win over Nova, Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year Shadeen Samuels led the way with 25 points and seven rebounds. Both Samuels and Desiree Elmore have been a tough 1-2 punch this season, averaging 27.4 points combined. Currently, Seton Hall is tied with St. John's for fourth in the BIG EAST standings.
THE SERIES
Friday will mark the 24th meeting between the two teams. Marquette leads the series 16-7 and has won the last seven in-a-row. Taylor led the Golden Eagles with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
