Golden Eagles return to action at BIG EAST Tournament
The Marquette University men's basketball team (18-12, 8-10 BIG EAST) concluded its 2019-20 regular season with a 88-86 loss at St. John's (16-15, 5-13 BIG EAST) at Madison Square Garden.
Senior guard Markus Howard led way with 30 points, forward Sacar Anim chipped in 16 points and guard Greg Elliott had a career-high 13.
With the loss, the Golden Eagles must now wait for the conclusion of the Xavier-Butler game tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT to learn their league tourney seeding.
If the Bulldogs win at the Musketeers, MU will own the No. 6 seed in the league tourney and play at 8:30 p.m. CT on Thursday. If Xavier wins, Marquette is the No. 7 seed and will face No. 10 DePaul at 8:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
