BIG EAST Postpones Fall Sports:
- The BIG EAST Conference announced that fall sports will not be played in the 2020 season. The conference said they will look at alternative options for the seasons to be played in 2021.
- Marquette sports affected are: men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and women's volleyball. Fall competition for spring sports such as golf, lacrosse and tennis will not be held.
#MUBB in the NBA:
- Former Golden Eagles Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder and Wes Matthews are playing in the NBA's quarantined restart.
- Butler ('11) has seen less minutes for the Miami Heat recently due to an ankle injury, but scored 19 points and collected 11 rebounds against the Pacers last Monday. Crowder ('12) added 14 points and eight rebounds in that game.
- Crowder and Butler's Heat now face the Indiana Pacers in a best-of-seven playoff series starting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
- Matthews ('09) did not play in the Milwaukee Bucks' last two games at the end of the regular season, but is set to play minutes for the squad in their playoff bout with the Orlando Magic starting at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow.
- Fellow MBB alum Juan Toscano Anderson ('15) is playing for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, who failed to qualify for the bubble restart. Juan talked about his path from Marquette to the NBA in a recent episode of the Ring Out Ahoya podcast.

#MUWBB in the WNBA:
- WBB alum Natisha Hiedeman ('19) is a member of the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA's restart.
- Hiedeman and the Sun squared off against a fellow MUWBB alum Monday night, facing Nicki (Taggart) Collen ('97), head coach of the Atlanta Dream. Hiedeman totaled eight points in that matchup, shooting 2-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Meredith Black Checks In Over The Summer:
- MUWLAX head coach Meredith Black talked about the incoming recruiting class, the NCAA eligibility decision, and how her team has moved forward with virtual meetings.
- "I'm excited because our freshmen are going to come in and compete," Black said. "Now you have fifth-years that are well-experienced, and freshmen who are eager to probably jump in, and everything in between. We are really excited to see the competitiveness. Our team knows the best 12 people play at any moment."

Men's Tennis Brings In Transfer:
- Marquette men's tennis welcomes a transfer from UConn for the 2020-21 season, Rami Scheetz.
- Scheetz saw significant action in the No. 1 singles as a freshman at UConn and was second on the Huskies in overall singles victories.

Volleyball Alum Allie Barber Garners Nation-Wide Honors:
- Recent MUVB graduate Allie Barber ('20) was named the recipient of the BIG EAST's Sport Excellence Award for volleyball. Marquette's all-time kills leader was also nominated for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year earlier this summer, which recognizes graduating female athletes for their distinguished careers on and off the playing field.

MU Soccer Alum Switches MLS Team:
- MSOC alumnus Axel Sjoberg ('14) has been traded back to D.C. United from the Columbus Crew SC.
- The 6-foot-7 center back is a former All-American and Marquette MVP who will now join a talented corps of center backs.
