Hallwood Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

The sophomore keeper saved a season-best seven shots Saturday
NEW YORK – Marquette University men's soccer goalkeeper Chandler Hallwood was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
The redshirt sophomore earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors last week after making two starts and playing in each of the first three games for the Golden Eagles, keeping a clean sheet through three overtime wins to open the season. He posted a 2-0-0 record, with one shutout, one combined shutout and seven saves. Hallwood was credited with the wins against Saint Louis (Feb. 13) and against Loyola Chicago (Feb. 3). For the week, he played 211 scoreless minutes, facing 29 shots.
This week, Hallwood played all 105 minutes in MU's BIG EAST opener against Creighton. He saved a season-best seven shots on Saturday, thwarting a number of Bluejays scoring chances.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action Saturday, March 6 at DePaul.
