Track & Field Wraps Up Action At Parkside

The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition at the season-opening Parkside Triangular Saturday evening in Kenosha, Wis.

The Golden Eagles were competing for the first time since the 2020 BIG EAST Indoor Championships last March, where both teams finished second.

"We had a very solid opener today," head coach Bert Rogers said. "We competed hard and showed a lot of heart and effort, despite the fact we only had six days of practice under our belt.
"I think we established some good standards to build upon and I'm looking forward to seeing this team grow and develop this season," Rogers added.

Marquette sent a handful of men's and women's competitors to Parkside and the day's highlights included personal-best marks by Kate Jochims in the 3000m and Juru Okwaramoi in the hurdles.
The teams return to action on Sunday, Feb. 14 at the Milwaukee Triangular.
