Mirsberger and Soto Make BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

Both players earned All-BIG EAST honors this week as well
WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Freshman striker Beto Soto and redshirt sophomore defender Alex Mirsberger were named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team, the conference announced on Saturday.
Soto showcased his speed, skill and talent during Thursday's BIG EAST tournament semifinal against No. 12/11 Seton Hall. He created several scoring chances and finished with three shots (two on goal) in 80 minutes. Mirsberger was MU's steadiest defender on Thursday, playing all 90 minutes of action.
Previously this week, Soto was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and landed on the All-BIG EAST Third Team. Mirsberger earned Second Team All-BIG EAST honors.
The Golden Eagles will find out their NCAA tournament fate on Monday, April 19 at 11 a.m. Central time. Marquette (8-2-1, 5-1-1 BIG EAST) has been ranked by Top Drawer Soccer and United Soccer Coaches for the past five weeks, ranking as high as No. 16 in TDS and 17 by United Soccer Coaches. As of April 14, MU had the nation's No. 8 RPI ranking.
