The Golden Eagles fell to ninth in the team standings on Monday
NAPLES, Florida – The Marquette University men's golf team concluded second round action at The Calusa Cup on Monday afternoon at the Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples.
The Golden Eagles dropped to ninth in the team standings with a 27-over par 315 in the second round. They sit six strokes behind tournament-host Iowa (608) in eighth place with 614 strokes.
Redshirt junior Hunter Eichhorn, who shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round and entered the day tied for second, shot a 7-over 79 on Monday and concluded the second round with a double bogey on No. 18. He eagled the same hole on Sunday and enters Tuesday's final round in a tie for 26th.
Redshirt freshman Aidan Lafferty posted MU's best individual round on Tuesday with a 5-over 77 with a pair of birdies. He's tied for 34th.
Third round action begins at 7 a.m. CT on Tuesday.Â
