
Mason Woodward is an USILA All-American

The redshirt freshman defenseman is MU's first All-American since Noah Richard in 2019
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Marquette University redshirt freshman Mason Woodward has garnered honorable mention All-America recognition by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.
Woodward was one of two unanimous selections at close defense on the All-BIG EAST Conference First Team and is Marquette's first USILA All-American since Noah Richard was recognized in 2019.
Woodward led all BIG EAST non-faceoff specialists with 54 ground balls this season and caused a league-high 18 turnovers. He was a three-time BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll honoree during the regular season and was the top coverman for the Golden Eagles. The Towson, Maryland native ended his first full season of competition seventh in Marquette history in both ground balls (82) and caused turnovers (31). He also sits second in program history in both ground balls (4.32) and caused turnovers per game (1.63).
