Soto and Sunesson Earn College Soccer News All-American Honors

The two strikers led MU in points this season
MILWAUKEE – Marquette men's soccer strikers Beto Soto and Lukas Sunesson were named to College Soccer News All-America teams this week, per release.
Soto was named to College Soccer News' First Team All-Freshman while Sunesson made Third Team All-America.
The two Golden Eagles combined to score nine goals with three assists this season to pace the MU offense and have combined to earn a laundry list of postseason accolades.
Soto was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and made Third Team All-BIG EAST in addition to garnering all-tournament team honors in 2021. He was named a freshman All-American by both Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News after his stellar first season at MU.
Sunesson's breakout junior season earned him some of the highest honors a collegiate soccer player can achieve. United Soccer Coaches named him a Second Team All-American in addition to a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, an award that goes to the best player in college soccer. The Taby, Sweden native also earned First Team Scholar All-American honors in addition to being named First Team All-BIG EAST.
