Cowan and Woodward earn BIG EAST Weekly honors

Cowan is the freshman of the week and Woodward is on the honor roll
NEW YORK – Marquette University redshirt freshmen Devon Cowan and Mason Woodward were each recognized by the BIG EAST Conference with weekly honors, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Cowan claimed BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, while Woodward was named the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after the pair helped the Golden Eagles to a win at St. John's in the regular season finale on Friday, April 30.
Cowan led Marquette against the Red Storm with four goals, including the eventual winner with 23 seconds remaining in regulation. He led MU in 2021 with 30 goals and 38 points, and has scored in each of his last 17 games. The Mount Laurel, New Jersey native was previously named to the weekly honor roll on March 2 and April 13, and was the BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week on April 20.
Woodward was named to the weekly honor roll for the third time this season after posting four ground balls and two caused turnovers against St. John's.
