Chandler Hallwood Named to TDS, CSN Teams of the Week

MILWAUKEE – Marquette University men's soccer goalkeeper Chandler Hallwood was named to both the Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News Men's Teams of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.

During Sunday's game against No. 4 Loyola Marymount, He tallied a game-high seven saves to help MU pick up a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes. He then saved WCC Player of the Year Noel Caliskan's spot kick as the Golden Eagles eventually advanced on penalties.

A redshirt sophomore, Hallwood has been playing at an All-American level for the Golden Eagles this season. He's 7-1-2 in net with 48 saves, an .889 save percentage and a 0.53 goals against average. His save percentage and GAA are on pace to shatter the Marquette single-season records.

Named Third Team All-BIG EAST two weeks back, Hallwood has twice earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors and has three honor roll appearances.

The No. 12 Golden Eagles (8-1-2, 5-1-1 BIG EAST) will be back in action in the Sweet 16 against No. 3 Indiana (9-1-2, 7-1-0) on Thursday, May 6 at 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET.
