Jochims wins steeplechase at Pacesetter Sports Invite
The Marquette University track and field team is officially ready for the conference meet after competing in the Pacesetter Sports Invitational on Friday night at Indiana State University.
"We had a solid day and it was a good tune-up for the BIG EAST Championships," head coach Bert Rogers said. "We are already looking forward to next week's competition."
The Golden Eagles sent a limited amount of competitors to ISU, but still managed to collect multiple personal records and season-best marks. Kate Jochims battled through windy conditions to win the steeplechase and Anna Penzkover finished third with a personal-best time.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles travel to Geneva, Ohio to compete in the BIG EAST Championships on May 14-15.
