MILWAUKEE – The No. 16 Marquette University women's volleyball team claimed a 22-25, 25-12, 25-22, 25-20 victory over Xavier on Senior Night at the Al McGuire Center on Friday.
The Golden Eagles (25-2, 16-1 BIG EAST) hit a combined .359 and were led by 15 kills from Aubrey Hamilton, while Ella Foti added 14 kills, three blocks and a pair of service aces. Senior libero Carly Skrabak posted a season-best 31 digs for her career high in a Marquette uniform.
Marquette rebounded from a tough first set loss by holding Xavier to just 12 points and a .030 hitting mark (6-5-33) in the second frame. And MU picked up the third while hitting .429 and recording five service aces.
The Musketeers (18-9, 11-6 BIG EAST) were led by a match-high 16 kills from Brooklyn Cink and 14 kills on .500 hitting from Delaney Hogan. Xavier hit a combined .236.

- Prior to the match, the Golden Eagles celebrated the careers of MU seniors Caroline Dragani, Megan Lund, Claire Nuessmeier, Carly Skrabak and Hannah Vanden Berg.
- Over the last four years MU has gone 89-18 overall and 52-7 in BIG EAST Conference play. The Golden Eagles advanced to the NCAA tournament in both 2019 and 2021 and earned a share of the BIG EAST regular season title last season.
- MU improves to 15-0 at the Al McGuire Center this season.
- The match was just MU's fourth BIG EAST match lasting four-or-more sets this year.
- The Musketeers took the opening set, 25-22, while hitting .514 (19-1-35), led by eight kills from Cink. Xavier jumped out 7-1 to start.
- MU improved its BIG EAST-best hitting percentage to .293 and improved its kills per set mark to 14.49 to move past Creighton into the league lead and fifth place nationally.
- Carsen Murray is now hitting a conference-best .422.
- Xavier entered the match 8-2 in its last 10 matches.
- The Musketeers are 6-4 away from home this season and currently sit alone in third place in the BIG EAST standings.
