Berezowitz will be the eighth Wisconsinite on the MU roster
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University head women's volleyball coach Ryan Theis has announced the addition of libero Molly Berezowitz for the 2023-24 academic year.
"We are excited to add Molly Berezowitz to our program and for the impact she will have on our group of passers," Theis said. "Molly comes from a family of athletes and has been a winner at every level. We expect that to continue at Marquette and are happy she has chosen to stay in southeastern Wisconsin for her college career."
Berezowitz, a defensive specialist from Burlington, Wisconsin, will arrive on campus in the summer of 2023 and have four years of NCAA eligibility remaining.
She played four years of volleyball at Burlington High School and led the Demons to a state division 1 runner-up finish as a sophomore, semifinal finishes as a freshman and senior, and a state quarterfinal appearance as a junior in the fall of 2021.
As a senior, Berezowitz was the 2022 Racine County Player of the Year and a second team all-state selection. She was an honorable mention all-state pick as a junior and earned Racine County and Southern Lakes Conference Libero of the Year. Berezowitz was also a two-time first team all-conference and all-county selection for the Demons under coaches Terri Little and Dan Lynch.
She played club volleyball with Milwaukee Sting under head coach Bruce Meredith and was selected as an all-American in the National Division at the 2022 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship as Sting won the division title.
Berezowitz's sister Maddie is a member of the University of Kentucky volleyball program and earned a national championship with the Wildcats in the spring of 2021. Her brother, Joey, is also a college athlete on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's men's basketball team.
Berezowitz is from the same hometown and high school as current MU sophomore defensive specialist Samantha Naber.
