• She is the 32nd 1,000-point scorer in Marquette program history.
• King has also recorded 394 career assists, recently moving into the program's top 10 all-time. With six more assists, she will become just the eighth player in program history with 1,000 points and 400 assists.
MAROTTA HONORED BY BIG EAST
• Following huge individual performances in the first two games of league play last weekend, Chloe Marotta was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
• The senior forward neared a triple-double against Georgetown, going for 12 points, 14 rebounds and a career-high tying eight assists.
• She followed that performance up with a career-high 30 point outing against Seton Hall, along with 12 boards and three assists.
• This was Marotta's first weekly honor of the season, and the second BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll appearance of her career.
MAROTTA SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST
• In what is her fifth year in the blue and gold, Chloe Marotta has gotten off to a stellar start and is posting by far the best numbers of her career.
• Marotta currently averages career-best marks in points (15.2), rebounds (9.0), assists (3.4), blocks (.8) and steals (.9) per game, while also leading the league and shooting a career-best 91.7 percent (33-of-36) from the free throw line.
• While Marotta has always been a do-it-all player, her scoring is the category that has taken the most significant jump this season, going from 6.9 points per game last season (a career-best at the time) to 15.2 points per contest this year.
THE BIG THREE
• While Marquette's depth has been a strength this season, it has also relied on stellar consistency and production from its "big three" of Chloe Marotta, Jordan King and Liza Karlen.
• The trio is one of just two in the BIG EAST (joining UConn's Fudd-Lopez-Edwards) to each average at least 14.0 points per game.
• They have combined this season to average 43.2 points, 20.8 rebounds and 9.6 assists while all playing at least 30 minutes per contest.
LAST TIME OUT
• Marquette split its opening weekend slate of games on the East Coast, earning a 78-57 win at Georgetown on Dec. 2, before falling to Seton Hall 82-78 on Dec. 4.
• Against the Hoyas, MU used the late surge of a 24-11 fourth quarter to pull away after a fairly even three quarters in Washington D.C. Jordan King came up big for the Golden Eagles, scoring a game-high 23 points in what was her 100th career game.
• Against the Pirates, Marquette fell short despite a career-high 30 point performance from Chloe Marotta. In what was a fairly even contest in most statistical categories, MU struggled to respond to a 14-0 run midway through the second quarter and despite making a late surge, was unable to close the gap as it fell for the first time in league play.
HITTING THE CENTURY MARK
• Last Friday's contest at Georgetown marked the 100th game coached at Marquette for head coach Megan Duffy, as well as the 100th game of senior guard Jordan King's college career.
