Golden Eagles continue road swing at Wisconsin Friday night
The Marquette University women's tennis team (4-5) picked up a narrow 4-3 victory over Milwaukee (2-4) Sunday evening in non-conference action on the road.
The Golden Eagles opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, but the match would come down to No. 1 singles to determine the team decision. Senior Natalija Popovic clinched the win with a 6-3, 7-6 victory and improved to 6-1 in dual action this season in the process.
Also claiming singles wins for MU were Elizabeth Ferdman (No. 4) and Elisabeth Desmarais (No. 5).
