MILWAUKEE — The Marquette University men's soccer team has announced the launch of its MSOC64 fundraising campaign, an initiative created to help garner ongoing support among the program's community of alumni which will help to improve the overall experience of the team's student-athletes.
"Over the next two years, our goal is to establish a collective, sustainable and reliable support system for our program," said Marquette head coach Louis Bennett. "This will be spearheaded by former Marquette soccer players that have experienced the positive competitive environment, joy, education, wisdom and comradeship of being part of something special with Marquette soccer."Â
The MSOC64 fund, named for the year that men's soccer officially became an NCAA Division I program at Marquette, aims to provide stability to enable the program to continually offer first class opportunities and to compete with the best programs in the BIG EAST and the nation.Â
Funds from the initiative will be used largely, but not exclusively, to fund the team's foreign tour which takes place every four years.Â
Alumni who join the MSOC64 campaign will receive exclusive Marquette soccer gear that can't be purchased anywhere else, as well as exclusive complimentary seating at all 2022 home matches. The program includes three levels of support, ranging from $59 to $163 per month.
