Joe Keys Heads to NCAA Indoor Championships

The NCAA Indoor Championships will take place on March 11-12
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University senior Joe Keys is set to compete in the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 11-12, participating in the heptathlon in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Downers Grove, Illinois, native qualified for the national championships, seeded 6th, after a record-setting performance at the BIG EAST Championships in Chicago hosted by DePaul. He broke the Marquette and BIG EAST Heptathlon record with a score of 5853. Along the way, He set personal bests in the 60m, long jump, high jump and 1000m. Keys' long jump of 7.42 meters/24 feet, 4.25 inches ranks No. 2 all-time in MU history.
Keys' was a unanimous selection as the most outstanding athlete in field events at the BIG EAST Championships.
The men's heptathlon begins at 10 a.m. CT Friday with the 60 meters. The long jump, shot put and high jump are scheduled to follow to end day one. Events resume Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CT with the 60-meter hurdles. Day two will conclude with the pole vault followed by the 1000 meters.
The championships will be streamed on ESPN3. Coverage will begin Friday at 10 a.m. CT and at 11:30 a.m. CT on Saturday. Live results can be found here.
