Golden Eagles to play seven home games, compete in Battle 4 Atlantis
MILWAUKEE — The Marquette University women's basketball team announced its 2022-23 non-conference schedule Wednesday afternoon, a slate which will feature seven home games at the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles' non-conference schedule is highlighted by a trip to The Bahamas to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis which will take place Nov. 19-21. There, they will face three opponents from a strong tournament field. Those opponents will be named at a later date.Â
"After a little bit of patience and rescheduling from the 2020 season, we are thrilled to participate in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in November," said Marquette head coach Megan Duffy. "It is an extremely deep and talented field which will give us great experience for BIG EAST play. We look forward to having Marquette nation join us down in The Bahamas or watching the games on ESPN."
Marquette opens the season Nov. 7 against Fairleigh Dickinson to begin a three-game homestand that also includes Holy Cross (Nov. 11) and Milwaukee (Nov. 13). Following their trip to The Bahamas, the Golden Eagles return home for the remainder of their non-conference schedule.
MU will host St. Francis on Nov. 27, before starting December with a pair of contests against Morgan State (Dec. 7) and Loyola Chicago (Dec. 10). The team will wrap up non-conference play on Dec. 21, when it welcomes Colorado to the Al McGuire Center.Â
"We are ready to fill up the Al McGuire center as we finish up a home-and-home series with Pac-12 opponent Colorado, along with a few local familiar teams in Loyola Chicago and Milwaukee."
The BIG EAST Conference schedule, which will feature 20 games including 10 at home, will be announced later this fall.
Season ticket packages at the Al McGuire Center are now available starting at $50. To order please call 414.288.4668 or email athletics@marquette.edu.Â
