Golden Eagles to begin league play Dec. 2 at Georgetown
NEW YORK — The BIG EAST Conference announced its women's basketball schedule and television lineup for the 2022-23 season Monday afternoon, a slate which includes five national broadcasts for the Marquette women's basketball team.
The league schedule features a double round-robin format, in which each team will face every opponent at home and on the road. The Golden Eagles will open league play in early December with a pair of road contests at Georgetown and Seton Hall on Friday, Dec. 2, and Sunday, Dec. 4, respectively.
Marquette's first conference game at home will be on Sunday, Dec. 18, as it hosts Butler at the Al McGuire Center. The Golden Eagles will have a pair of games televised on FS1, including home contests against Seton Hall (Jan. 22) and the regular-season finale against DePaul (Feb. 27). The team's game at Creighton on Sunday, Jan. 8, will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
In addition to the games carried by FS1 and CBS Sports Network, the Golden Eagles will appear on SNY in both contests against UConn. They will play in Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 31, before hosting the Huskies on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
All games which are not nationally televised can be seen on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN).
For the 10th-consecutive year, FS1 and FS2 will provide coverage of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament, with this season's event returning to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, for the third-consecutive year. The tournament will begin on Friday, March 3, and conclude with its championship game on Monday, March 6.Â
