Golden Eagles back in action Jan. 28 at DePaul
The Marquette University men's basketball team (16-5, 8-2 BIG EAST) pulled away for a 74-53 victory at Seton Hall (12-10, 5-5 BIG EAST) Saturday afternoon in BIG EAST Conference action.

Guard Kam Jones led the way with 22 points and Oso Ighodaro chipped in 18 points and six rebounds.

Marquette's 8-2 start to league play is its best since the 2018-19 campaign when the team was 12-2.

MU opened the second half with a 13-7 run and led by double figures a majority of the second half. Turnovers were the story, as the Golden Eagles turned 26 Seton Hall miscues into 34 points.

The Golden Eagles led 37-29 at the intermission, despite the Pirates shooting 57.9 percent from the floor. MU was able to force 13 SHU turnovers into 16 points prior to halftime and enjoyed their largest lead of the half at the break.Â
