Mikki Easter Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

Hailey Block earns spot on weekly honor roll

Senior Mikki Easter has been named the BIG EAST Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The Culpepper, Virginia, native combined to make 14 saves in a pair of league road outings, a 3-1 win at Creighton and a 0-0 draw at UConn. Easter now owns four shutouts in 2023, fifth-most in the BIG EAST.

Against the Bluejays, Easter matched a personal high with eight saves and she followed that up with a six-stop effort versus the Huskies. She ranks second in the league in saves (42) and third in saves per game (3.82).

Classmate Hailey Block was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after scoring a pair of goals in the win at Creighton. She found the back of the net for the fist time in 2023 and now owns 11 scores in her career.
