Will Be First Meeting Between MU and BC
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Marquette University women's basketball team opens play at the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Friday when they face Boston College. Tipoff from Suncoast Credit Union Arena is at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Golden Eagles (4-0, 0-0 BIG EAST) are coming off a 96-36 win against Saint Peter's on Sunday. Five Golden Eagles scored in double figures as MU shot a season-best 57.4 percent from the field and 56 percent from three.
MU is 5-2 in holiday tournaments under Megan Duffy. Last November at the Battle 4 Atlantis, Marquette beat then No. 3 Texas in the first round for the highest ranked win in program history. The Golden Eagles beat Gonzaga in the second round before losing to then No. 20 UCLA in the championship. Jordan King was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 16 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.

• Teya Sidberry leads the team averaging 14.6 points and seven rebounds per game.
• Sidberry had a career-high 22 points in the win at Providence and has scored in double-digits in four of five games this season.
• BC returned four of its top six leading scorers from last season.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL FOR KENZIE
• Mackenzie Hare was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor roll for the first time this Monday.
• Hare had a game-high 22 points at IUPUI and 19 points against Saint Peter's.
• The sophomore shot 63.6 percent from the floor and 71.4 percent from three (10-of-14) during the week.
• Hare is 10th in the nation and second in the BIG EAST in three-pointers per game (3.75).
MOVING THE BALL
• Marquette is first in the BIG EAST and 9th in the nation in assists per game (21.8).
• The Golden Eagles have recorded 20 or more assists in three of four games this season. MU hit that mark eight times all of last season.

• Marquette is first in the BIG EAST and 6th in the nation in shooting percentage (52.9 percent) through the first four games.
• The Golden Eagles have shot 50 percent or better in the first four games this season (51.7 percent vs UT Martin, 50 percent vs Illinois, 52.2 percent at IUPUI, 57.4 percent vs Saint Peter's) for the first time in the Megan Duffy era.
