Golden Eagles Face Arkansas In Title Game Saturday
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Marquette University women's basketball team defeated Boston College 73-65 in the semifinals of the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Friday night. The Golden Eagles face Arkansas in the Fort Myers Tip-Off Shell Division title game Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.
After being down two at the end of the first, the Golden Eagles shot 63 percent from the floor in the second quarter, including a 4-of-6 clip from three, to go into the break up by seven. MU would lead the rest of the way.
Mackenzie Hare had a career-high 25 points and hit a career-high six threes. Jordan King had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Marquette shot 45.3 percent from the field and had four in double figures for the fifth time this season.
Boston College was led by Andrea Daley who had 24 points and nine rebounds.
