First meeting all-time between Golden Eagles and Mountaineers
MILWAUKEE – The No. 19/19 Marquette women's basketball team stays home to host App State on Sunday, December 17. Tipoff from the Al McGuire Center is at 2 p.m. Central time.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a 76-70 win against No. 20 Creighton on Wednesday night in the BIG EAST opener. Marquette was led by Liza Karlen who had a double-double with a season-high 25 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Karlen and fellow seniors Jordan King and Rose Nkumu combined for 17 of MU's final 22 points.
Sunday's contest will be on FloSports with Bob Brainerd on the call.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
• Appalachian State plays Gardner Webb on the road Friday night before heading to Milwaukee.
• Last game out, the Mountaineers lost to Richmond on the road in overtime, 80-77.
• Junior Emily Carver was the Mountaineers' top scorer for the second consecutive game and fourth time this season, netting 27 points.
• Leading scorer Senior Faith Alston scored 21 points.
• Alston (16.1 ppg) and Carver (15.9 ppg) are eighth and ninth in the Sun Belt in scoring.
