Marquette stays home to host Bucknell on Thursday for last non-conference game
MILWAUKEE – The No. 19/19 Marquette women's basketball defeated App State on Sunday, 99-91, to move to 11-0 on the season.
The Golden Eagles had four in double figures led by Jordan King, who had a season-high 29 points and a career-high six threes. Frannie Hottinger had her team-leading third double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 21 rebounds, a new Al McGuire Center record.
Marquette shot an even 50 percent from the field, the eighth time in 11 games MU has shot 50 percent or better, and scored a season-high 99 points.
Seniors Liza Karlen, Frannie Hottinger, Rose Nkumu and Jordan King combined for 20 of MU's final 25 points.
App State had six in double figures led by Emily Carver and Faith Alston who had 19 apiece.
