Nelson claims lone singles win
WASHINGTON - The Marquette University men's tennis team (0-8) fell 4-1 in a neutal sight match to Army (7-4) Saturday night in D.C..
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point with two wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions, but Army went on to claim four singles victories to take the team decision.
Freshmen Thomas Nelson was able to claim lone dual singles victory for the Golden Eagles at the No. 3 position.
UP NEXT: MU will travel to Madison to take on in-state foe Wisconsin on Thursday, February 23 at 5:30 pm CT.
