MU goes 3-0 at Spring Break Tennis
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Marquette University women's tennis team (5-9) records third 7-0 sweep in a row Friday afternoon over Niagara (3-10) at SBT powered by USTA.
The Golden Eagles opened the match in another dominate fashion with 6-1 and 6-0 wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions to take the doubles point.
Freshman Emma Davis earned her first career victory in straight-set fashion at the No. 6 position.
Junior Emilija Kojcic and seniors Elisabeth Desmarais and Julieanne Bou all claimed straight-set wins in the three top spots for the Golden Eagles.
Elizabeth Ferdman also claimed a straight-set singles victory for the Golden Eagles at the No. 4 spot.
Tiana Windbuchler played her first dual match of the season at No. 5 and took a tie-break singles win, (2-6, 6-1, 6-4).
Nicole Hopman clinched the team's decision at the No. 6 spot, (6-2, 6-0) over Enrica Favaron.
