
Women’s Tennis Drops 4-3 Decision to Butler

Golden Eagles back in action at BIG EAST Tennis Championships next week
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Marquette University women's tennis team (8-12, 2-5 BIG EAST) falls 4-3 to Butler (10-11, 4-2 BIG EAST) Saturday afternoon in the last regular season match.
Marquette started the match by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot.
Despite the strong start in doubles action by Marquette, the Bulldogs were able to take four single wins to come back to take the team decision.
Senior Julieanne Bou was able to earn a win for MU at No. 3 in a tie-break (3-6, 7-6, 6-3).
Freshman Emma Davis earned a singles win at No. 5 in straight-set fashion (6-2, 6-2).
UP NEXT: Marquette travels to the BIG EAST Tournament held in Cayce, S.C. The tournament begins on April 20.
