Taylor Schad Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Freshman finished with three points in two matches
Freshman Taylor Schad of the Marquette women's soccer team has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The Kiel, Wisconsin native netted her first-career goal in the 2-1 win over Western Michigan on Sept. 17 and drew the foul that led to the game-winning penalty kick by Isa Cook in the 89th minute. She also assisted on classmate Emily Fix's score in the 1-1 draw with St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon.
The honor is the first of the career for Schad.
Marquette opens BIG EAST play Thursday at 7 p.m. CT against DePaul at Valley Fields to continue a season-long, four-match homestand.
