Hughes runs third-fastest 60m in program history
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Marquette track and field competed at the Bill Clinger Classic on Friday. It was the second meet of the new year for the Golden Eagles.
Aaron Hughes finished third in the 60m in 6.85 seconds, the third-fastest time in program history. Hughes now owns the third and sixth-fastest 60m times at MU. Hughes followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the 200m at 22.28 seconds.
Annika Bynum finished first in the high jump for the third event in a row, clearing 1.69m/5ft 6.5in.
Daylee Braden finished second in the 400m at 56.6 seconds, 0.39 seconds from her PR. Zachariah Murray placed second in the 400m at 48.41 seconds.
Marquette claimed first and second in the women's triple jump with Kaylee Hopp (11.28m/37ft) and Haneefa Adam (11.07m/36ft 3.75in).
Julia Beck took third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.19 seconds, 0.17 seconds off her PR.
Gianna Konen led MU in the 3000m, finishing in 6th at 10:45.75 seconds.

Marquette travels to South Bend, Indiana next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3, for the Meyo Invitational.
