#MUBB Holds Off Butler, 78-72 For Eighth-Straight Win

Marquette travels to No. 1/1 UConn Saturday
The No. 4/4 Marquette University men's basketball team (19-5, 10-3 BIG EAST) continued BIG EAST Conference play with a 78-72 win at Butler (16-9, 7-7 BIG EAST) on Tuesday night in Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The Golden Eagles have now won eight-straight games, including five on the road in BIG EAST play. Guard Tyler Kolek finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Oso Ighodaro (17 points, 10 rebounds) collected his fourth double-double of the season.
The Golden Eagles led by as many as 12 points in the second half and finished with a 46-20 advantage in points in the paint.Â

Marquette, which led by as many as seven points in the first half, owned a 34-32 advantage at the intermission. The Golden Eagles shot 48.5 percent from the floor and Kolek led seven players who scored at least two points with 10.
