Five Golden Eagles Earn All-BIG EAST Honors

All honorees medaled at indoor championships
NEW YORK – Five Marquette University track and field athletes earned All-BIG EAST honors at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships this past weekend, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.
"All-BIG EAST is quite an honor, and all five are very deserving" said Bert Rogers. "I was very proud of how the whole team competed this past weekend and each of our honorees in particular."
Zachariah Murray set a new program record in the 400m at 47.97 seconds to finish second and earn the silver.
Natalia Jackowski set a new PR in the high jump to take silver with a mark of 1.70m. Annika Bynum earned bronze in the same event with an identical mark.
Mila Puseljic finished third in the women's pentathlon. The graduate student set new PRs in the 800m at 2:31.77 and in the 60m hurdles at 9.34 seconds. Her total of 3213 is the seventh-best total in program history.
Kaylee Hopp earned silver in the triple jump with a mark of 12.25m/40ft 2.25in. Hopp tied her PR that is third all-time in program history.
