Krstulovic and Roegner Named BIG EAST Men’s Doubles Team of the Week

Duo helped MU to pair of victories
NEW YORK - Marquette No. 1 duo Tin Krstulovic and Blake Roegner have been named as the BIG EAST Men's Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles defeated Marist (4-1) and Hampton University (5-2) this past week in Orlando, Florida at Spring Break Tennis. The senior and sophomore tandem hold a 6-2 record at No. 1 for MU. This is the first recognition for each athlete this season.
BIG EAST Women's Singles Player of the Week
Imani Graham, Sr., Xavier (St. John's, Fl.)
Playing at No. 1 singles, Graham swept fellow BIG EAST competitor Natalie Boesing of Butler, 6-1, 6-1. The victory was her ninth singles win of the season. As a team, Xavier earned a 7-0 victory over the Bulldogs for their third BIG EAST victory of the season.

Ellie Brotherton (Fr., Cleveland, Ohio) & Abby Nugent (So., Springboro, Ohio), Xavier
Brotherton and Nugent combined for a 6-3 win on the No. 2 doubles court against Butler's Delaney Schurhamer and Jordan Schildcrout, helping the Musketeers to a 7-0 team victory. The win marked the pair's eighth doubles win as a team, and helped Xavier to an 11th team win, including a 3-0 record against BIG EAST teams.

Alvaro Huete Vadillo, 5th, Butler (Illescas, Spain)
Huete Vadillo went 1-1 this week, playing at No. 1 singles. The fifth year recovered from a hard-fought loss to Southern Methodist's Liam Krall (6-4, 4-6, 10-6) on Wednesday with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Eastern Illinois' Pau Riera on Sunday.

Roegner and Krstulovic went 2-0 this week at No. 1 doubles, defeating duos from Marist and Hampton as Marquette secured two team wins. The pair first overcame Red Foxes Nick Suhanitski and Jose Catala, 6-3, on Tuesday. Thursday, the tandem defeated Hampton's Daniel Flynn and Emiliano Jorquera, 6-2.
