First outdoor meet of the season for MU

ST. LOUIS – Marquette University track and field competed at the WashU Distance Carnival on Friday hosted by Washington University in Saint Louis.

Senior Dan Weizeorick finished ninth in the 3000m steeplechase at 9:04.30.

Lexi Keppler ran the 5000m for the first time in her career, finishing 59^th out of 209 runners at 18:05.38.

David Zeller paced the 5000m for the Golden Eagles, finishing 45th out of 278 runners with a time of 14:57.74.

NOTABLES:

Sean Kellogg set a new PR in the 5000m with a time of 15:23.33.
Gianna Konen set a new PR in the 5000m with a time of 19:09.92.
