MSOC Adds Neiberger As Assistant Coach

David Korn rounds out his staff with new assistant coach to the program
MILWAUKEE – First-year Marquette head coach David Korn has announced the addition of Zach Neiberger as assistant coach to the program officially on Wednesday afternoon.

Zach Neiberger joins Korn's staff after his most recent stop at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) as an assistant coach.

"Since meeting Zach, we've been impressed with the energy, ambition and expertise he brings. His experience playing at high levels within Division 1 as well as coaching at the collegiate level will be an asset to our team and staff," Coach Korn highlighted on the addition. "Zach's ability to build relationships will be beneficial to our student-athletes and recruiting process. He's passionate about seeing our Marquette soccer program excel on and off the field."

Neiberger spent his third season as lead assistant with SCSU Men's Soccer in 2023. Appointed in July 2020 as the first assistant on the Huskies' inaugural coaching staff, Neiberger helped build the first NCAA DII Men's Soccer program in the state of Minnesota. In 2023, Neiberger helped SCSU achieve a program record in total points and conference points as the Huskies went on to host their first conference playoff game in program history.

Under Neiberger's tutelage, eight student-athletes have earned All-GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) honors in the program's first three seasons. Throughout his young club and collegiate coaching career, Neiberger helped develop three future MLS Super Draft selections.

Prior to his appointment at SCSU, Neiberger spent two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA DIII program Hamline. Neiberger has previously coached club with Minneapolis United Soccer Club and was a Lead Coach for the MNUFC pre-academy. Originally from Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Southwest standout and prep All-American was named to the IMG Academy 150 Player Pool in 2014 as one of the top 150 players in the country per TopDrawerSoccer. Neiberger went on to play collegiately at NCAA DI programs San Diego State and UW-Milwaukee.
Neiberger earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from St. Cloud State University and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Sports Management.
