Kaitlyn Huber Named BIG EAST Defender of the Week

Meg Bireley on weekly honor roll
NEW YORK – Marquette University women's lacrosse senior Kaitlyn Huber has been named BIG EAST Defender of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Huber was anchor of the Golden Eagles defense that gave up a season-low four goals at Xavier on Saturday. The senior had three ground balls.
Meg Bireley was named to the weekly honor roll after a six goal outing at Xavier. The senior added one assist and one ground ball.
Bireley broke the single season scoring record and became the first player in program history to score 60-or-more goals in a season.
Marquette returns to action on Saturday when they host Villanova for Senior Day. First draw is at 12 p.m. CT with the winner clinching the last spot in the BIG EAST women's lacrosse tournament.
