M Club Letterwinner Criteria

The following guidelines should be followed when awarding a letter to a Marquette University student-athlete. The M Club consists of all varsity letterwinners who have competed at Marquette. The primary mission of the M Club is to provide support for Marquette athletics – primarily for the student-athletes – and to encourage camaraderie among its alumni letterwinners.

Letterwinner Criteria

Student-athlete must have appeared on team roster and completed one competitive season
Student-athlete must be in good academic standing at the conclusion of the semester

Letterwinner Award

Choice of sweater ($125) or jacket ($165)

NOTE: Any former student-athlete interested in ordering a letterwinner gift who graduated prior to 2022 will be asked to cover the cost of the item/shipping (see above).

Special Situations

Transfers – jacket/sweater will be awarded regardless of year of athletic eligibility when arriving at Marquette.
Spirit Squad/Managers – members of the spirit squad and team managers will be awarded a jacket/sweater after concluding a third season of service.
Cross Country/Track & Field – Student-athletes who compete in both cross country and track & field will be recognized for earning letters with both teams, but will only claim one award.

Award Distribution Process
Student-athletes will be contacted at the athletics department regarding delivery and pickup of jacket/sweater on an annual basis.
