
WBB's Offense Explodes In 89-42 Win Over Le Moyne

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette women's basketball team matched its season-high point total on Sunday afternoon in an 89-42 defeat of Le Moyne at the Al McGuire Center. The Golden Eagles' offense saw a season-high 31 assists, its most in a game since 2021.
MU had four players score in double figures for the second straight game led by Halle Vice's 23 points. Vice finished with her second double-double of the season after collecting 10 rebounds. Lee Volker also recorded a triple-double with 14 points and 11 assists.
Marquette came out scoring the first seven points of the game. Shooting 62.5% in the quarter, the Golden Eagles led by at least six in the throughout the period. Halle Vice helped MU to a 24-12 lead scoring nine points.
The Golden Eagles continued to go inside to start the second, though it wasn't through Vice. MU scored the nine unanswered to start the quarter with the first five coming from Jada Bediako and the next four from Skylar Forbes. Le Moyne knocked down three 3-pointers during a two-minute stretch as Marquette's hovered around 20. MU closed out the half with a 7-0 run, the last three coming off the hands of Lee Volker. The Golden Eagles shot 6-of-14 (42.9%) in the opening 20 minutes, taking a 49-23 advantage into the locker room.
Though the difference remained through the third, Marquette finished the game on a 21-0 run, outscoring Le Moyne 21-2 in the fourth quarter. The Golden Eagles held the Dolphins without a made field goal for the final 10:54 of the game.
