Ryerson picks up lone Marquette singles win
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Marquette University men's tennis team fell 4-1 to Georgetown Sunday afternoon.
The Hoyas started the match by winning the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, giving them a 1-0 team advantage.
Freshman TJ Ryerson scored the lone Marquette point with a victory at No. 5 in straight-set fashion (6-2, 6-1).
Georgetown picked up three singles victories at the No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 spots to take the team win of 4-1.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will host IU Indy on Friday at 12 p.m before heading Northern Illinois on Sunday.
