Golden Eagles to face five-straight BIG EAST opponents to close out the regular season
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's soccer team (7-4-1, 0-3-0 BE) returns to BIG EAST play on Saturday night to host Butler (0-6-3, 0-0-2 BE) at Valley Fields. It will be the first of five consecutive conference matches to close out the season for MU.
The Golden Eagles are 3-2 in their last five meetings with the Bulldogs in Milwaukee, winning the most recent match at Valley Fields in 2024, 2-0. Kickoff between Marquette and Butler is set for 6 p.m. CT at Valley Fields and will stream on ESPN+.
BY THE NUMBERS
20 - On Oct. 6, Marquette totaled 20 points against Carroll, its most points in a game in more than 30 years.

At 7-4-1, David Korn is off to his best 12-match start with the Golden Eagles. Korn's team's finished with six wins in 2024 and seven in 2025.

During Tuesday's match against Carroll University, Marquette scored seven times in the win (7-2). It was the most goals in a game for the Golden Eagles since scoring seven against Valparaiso on Sept. 4, 1993.
FRESHMEN HAT TRICKS
On Oct. 6, Dominic Firs registered the second hat trick of the season when he found the back of the net three times against Carroll. It was the second by a Golden Eagle freshman this year after Tomiwa Adewumi record one against Southern Indiana on Sept. 12.
HERMANN WATCH LIST
On Oct. 2, Tomiwa Adewumi was announced as one of 30 players selected to the MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List. It was the first time a Golden Eagle has earned a spot on the list since Lukas Sunesson was a semifinalist for the award in the spring of 2021.

Marquette has scored 27 goals on just 131 shots, converting 20.6% of its attempts, the fourth-best conversion rate in the country, 1.6% back of UNC Asheville's top rate.
